Peter told the Christians of his time, “But grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18) and Jesus also gave the command, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14) It is because of passages like these that Trinity feels that Christian education is very important.
Here at Trinity we do the 3Rs and we do them well. Our students excel at Reading, Writing and Arithmetic. However, we add in a fourth R, Religion. We want our students to not only learn the traditional Bible stories and memorize a few passages, but we also want our students to see God’s grace in each and every subject. Our students appreciate the order that God has placed in our lives in math class, the planning and continue preservation that God has over us in science as we learn about the complexity of his creation, and how we can use our communication and language arts skills to study and teach his word to others. Rather than just teaching a Bible story and having a few devotions each day, we carefully and intentionally weave the message of God’s love throughout our whole day.
