Preschool Teacher
I was born in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. My family moved to Belle Plaine when I was 7 from Austin, MN. My brother and I grew up here in Belle Plaine where we attended Trinity Lutheran School through 8th grade. After graduating from Belle Plaine High School in 1998, I attended Minnesota State University-Mankato. In 2002, I graduated with a teaching license in K-6 elementary education and specialty in 5-8 Social Studies.
During the past 22 years, I have taught in a variety of learning environments, as a 6th grade teacher, substitute teacher, reading specialist, Migrant Head-start Teacher, Sunday School teacher, preschool teacher, and a home daycare provider.
My husband Doug and I have four children, Maddilyn (17), Lukas (13), Kaden (9), and Trevor (5). We live near New Prague and are members of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church.
In my free time I like spending time with my children and going to their many activities. I also enjoy reading, baking, and gardening. As a family we like to camp, fish, go to car races, attend farm shows (especially the LeSueur County Pioneer Power) and snowmobile in the winter.
Working with children has always been my passion. I look forward to getting to know all of my students as unique individuals and share the love of learning with them. Now, I am overjoyed with the opportunity to also share the love of Jesus with God’s littlest lambs!
