With the start of the school year just around the corner, it is time for the first of my weekly emails. In these emails, I will cover important 3rd and 4th grade-specific announcements, information about upcoming tests, and an attachment highlighting the anticipated assignments for the following week. If your child is planning to order hot lunch, please make sure you return those blue sheets on the first day of school.
During the first few weeks of school, I try to ease back into schoolwork and each week I will keep increasing the homework assignments until we hit the regular amount.
Please note that because this is the first week of school, we will have the unit 1 Spelling pretest on Friday and the Spelling test next Monday.
Please make sure you check your child’s backpack every day, but especially check it on Tuesday. I will have a number of things going home on the first day that will be important for you. One of those items is Scholastic Book order forms. I send these home at the beginning of each month. It is your choice if you want to purchase any books. If you choose to purchase books, please note that you can do it online using our classroom code or send the exact payment back to school. These are due Friday, September 10. For more information, please see the note that is attached to one of the order forms.
Finally, please watch for a weekly all-school email to be sent out on Friday mornings. This email will come from my personal email address this week but will come from school@trinitybelleplaine.org after that.
