Can you believe Thanksgiving is just 3 weeks away?! Time keeps marching by. Speaking of time, don’t forget to turn your clocks back an hour before going to bed Saturday night. Enjoy that extra hour of sleep if your kids allow you to do that.
This next week the students will be working on several different things. We will be getting into our new science and social studies chapters, the third graders will be starting their next novel in reading class, and we will be studying three Bible stories. The third-graders will have a math test on Wednesday. Additionally, on Wednesday, all of the students will have their next English test. Also, the students can expect their usual spelling test on Friday.
On Thursday, Veterans Day, Mr. Weiers will speak to the school about his time serving our country in the Air Force.
Please note that the next book orders are due tomorrow! Scholastic has informed us that all orders must be placed by the end of the week to receive them before Christmas. Please see the note attached to the order forms for more information.
The end of the first quarter is tomorrow. Next Wednesday, I will be sending report cards home with your child. Please keep the envelope’s contents, sign the envelope, and return it to school as soon as possible. I will be reusing the envelopes each quarter.
