November 15-19

Next week is Parent-Teacher conferences.   If you have not signed up yet, please do so as soon as possible.  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080949ADA822A5FD0-parentteacher1

Next week Tuesday, we will have our final lesson from the first ChristLight folders that were sent home at the beginning of the year.  Please return these red folders to school by Wednesday morning.  At that time, I will be sending home the next folder with the second set of lessons for the school year.

This next week will be another busy week in the classroom.  The fourth-graders will have a math test on Monday and then have an investigation that will take two days.  The third-graders will have their next math test on Friday, along with the usual spelling test.   Also, for memory work, the students will be learning the first part of Luke 2.  Please note that they will need to learn both the white and colored portions corresponding to their grade level.

We are already halfway through November.  Four students have already hit their A.R. reading goal and a few more and are getting close.  Keep encouraging your child to read at home and make sure they bring their books back to school each day.

Yesterday the first quarter report cards went home with your student. Please keep the contents, sign the envelope, and return it as soon as possible.  Past experience has taught me that the longer they sit at home, the better chance they will be misplaced.

Don’t forget, if you ordered wreaths and other winter plants through the PTO’s fundraiser, the pickup date is  Wednesday, November 17, from 3-6.  All items will be staged in the church narthex.   If you can help unload the truck when it arrives that morning around 9:30, please reach out to Melissa Bandel.
