It was so great to see the kids back in the classroom on Monday. It was really quiet around the school during break and just felt empty.
This coming week will be another busy week in school. The third-graders will be wrapping up Stone Fox this week. The ending is sure to be a surprise for them! Please note that the students will only have memory work due on WEDNESDAY and Friday this week. Once again, the students will not have a spelling assignment on Wednesday but will still have the usual test on Friday. The fourth-graders will have a math test on Tuesday, and all of the students will take the chapter 2 science test on Thursday. In addition to all of that, we will start our all-school practices for the Christmas program. As we have memorized all of the speaking parts, you can best help them stay prepared by quizzing them once or twice a week to help keep it active and fresh in their memories.
If your family is choosing to contribute to purchasing a gift for a resident at the Lutheran Home Association, please make sure to send the money to school by tomorrow, Friday.
If your child is participating in Read to Achieve, keep working on those 500 minutes. These forms are due back by December 13. As soon as they hit their goal, they can send those sheets back to school.
