Only one more week! Are you starting to worry about how you will entertain your children all summer? How long do you suppose it will be before you hear “I am bored”?
With next week being the last week of school, please send your ChristLight folders back to school before Wednesday.
This next week will be an unusual week in the classroom. We will be wrapping up a lot of different things and taking several end-of-the-year tests. On Wednesday, we will be taking end-of-the-year tests in English and math. There is nothing that the students need to do to prepare for these two tests. It is simply a review of many of the skills that we have been working on all school year long. However, on Tuesday, we will have our last Social Studies test. This is something that the students should definitely study for. They can prepare by studying the vocabulary words, use their reviews as a study guide, and make sure they can match up the meaning of the first 10 amendments with their numbers. Finally, we will have our last spelling test on Thursday morning.
Don’t forget, all Trinity library books are due back tomorrow, Friday!
Today your child will be coming home with a thick folder. In the folder, you will find a variety of logic puzzles, math fact sheets, and math review problems. Please consider keeping this in a safe place and having your child work on some things inside to help keep their minds sharp and to reduce the amount of learning that is typically lost over the summer. I also highly recommend having some designated reading time each week.
How is your student doing on reaching their A.R. goal? So far, eight students have hit their goals.
Please note that on the last day of school, we dismiss at noon. This is a different release time than the public school, so there will be no public school bus at noon. Also, there will be no After School Care on the last day of school either.
