Congratulations to all our spellers who participated in the Invitational Spelling Bee last night. All spellers should be proud of themselves.
I did make some slight changes to the science schedule this week. Therefore, the science test has been bumped back a bit. So, this upcoming week we will have a Social Studies test on Tuesday, a fifth-grade math test on Wednesday, and the usual spelling test on Friday.
Please note that the students will be saying the 1st part of the Sacrament of Holy Baptism for next week’s memory work. This is new for everyone!
Next week I am starting something new. I will allow the students to continue building their independent planning skills. If a student is up to date on all their homework, they may choose to work ahead on spelling and complete the current unit’s workbook pages before they are officially assigned/due.
Please take a moment to check in with your student to see if they have all of the consumable supplies (i.e., pencils, paper, etc.) that they need for the remainder of the school year.
Please keep an eye on the weather forecast. It looks like next week’s temperatures will return to the typical April range. Mornings can be chilly, so a sweatshirt/jacket may be needed. Also, please remember that forecasted temperatures need to be at least 70 to wear shorts.
Here are some important dates for your calendar.
Tuesday, May 2 PTO @ 6:30
Friday, May 5 Last Schoalstic Book order due
Thursday, May 25 Last Day (dismissal at noon & no afternoon busing)
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out and ask.
