Next week we will once again be taking the four tests that are part of the MAP Testing program. Please encourage your child to take their time and give it their best effort. This final test allows us to see how much growth they have made this year and helps us to plan for next year. In addition to that you can also help by making sure your child arrives to school well rested and with a good breakfast in their belly.
Next week will be a busy week. In addition to the MAP testing, the third graders will have a math test on Monday. Other than that, the only other test will be the usual Spelling test on Friday.
There are only a few days left in the month and 6 of our students have reached their AR goal. Please keep encouraging your student to be reading each night at home.
On Sunday, May 6 the students will have 2 fantastic opportunities to share their faith. Grades 3-5 will be singing at 9:00 a.m., and then the K-8 students will be singing at 4:00 p.m in Pastor’s Bentz’s installation. This is an additional service, but is well worth the time to hear God’s word and to hear Pastor Bentz declare his commitment to serving God and us at Trinity.
This past week I have noticed that some students were more tired. I have a feeling this is somewhat due to the weather change. If your child is spending a lot of time outside enjoy the weather and running around, they may need more sleep in comparison to the winter months.
Next Friday will be the last opportunity to order books from Scholastic for the year. If you would like to buy some books, you may order online with the class code, pay with exact change at school, or send a check made out to Susan Van Houten.
