Next week will be a busy week in the classroom. Both the third and fourth-graders will be finishing up their first novel of the year. The fourth-graders will be taking their first math test on Tuesday, and the third-graders will take their first math test on Friday. Like last year, the day before the test we will do a review. Then, during the next math class, the test will contain all the same type of problems. So, if you want to help them prepare for the test, you could go over any questions that they missed on the review. Finally, on Friday the students will have their usual spelling test.
Monday is our first field trip of the year. Please see the note in your child’s home folder with details about this field trip. A couple of important things to note is that this is an outdoor event and even if it rains, we will still attend the event. So, please watch the weather forecast and dress your child accordingly. The organizers of this even do recommend that students bring their lunch in a disposable bag and bring a water bottle. Please make sure to label these items to avoid confusion. Finally, please remember to have your child wear their black, Trinity shirt.
The K-8 students are set to sing in church this Sunday. The students will sit with their families, before and following the song.
