Well, it would seem like December weather is starting to set in. Please make sure to send your child with weather appropriate clothing for recess. Also, if we should get some snow that sticks to the ground, please make sure they at least have snow boots so they can play on the blacktop and woods chip areas (if the snow isn’t too deep). To fully play in the snow, students do need to have snow pants as well.
Next week we will be pretty busy in the classroom. Fourth-grade students will have a math test on Tuesday, there will be a science test on Thursday, and on Friday there will be an English test in addition to the usual spelling test.
This next week the third-graders will be starting their next classroom novel, Stone Fox. This is a great novel that will help us get in the mood for winter. In the past, some students have gotten very excited to reach the end of the novel. For us all to experience it together, please don’t let your child read ahead.
