December 10-14

This next will be a busy week in the classroom.  The third graders will be finishing up a novel, we will be starting a new chapter in social studies, and will continue to practice for the fast approaching Christmas program. The third graders will have a math test on Friday in addition to the usual spelling test.

As we were practicing our Christmas program yesterday, I realized that I was missing a piece that K-4 will be saying together.  I already gave your students a copy of this yesterday to keep and practice. I also included it as an attachment to this email.

As I start to look forward to the Christmas party, I would greatly appreciate some suggestions from you, the parents.  I play to have a couple of games for the students to play and then watch a movie as the children enjoy some treats.  What I need is some suggestions for the movie.  I do have Netflix so if you have some suggestion of movies you can use either lend to us for the day or a title from Netflix that would be great!

The hymnology lesson that we will be having on December 14 was not originally included in the memory work packet provided at the beginning of the year.  I will be giving the students a paper copy of that hymn verse.  In case you wish to have a copy at home as well, I have attached a file containing those words.

Here are some important dates for your calendar.
