Brrr. It is a little cold out there this morning. My windshield was creaking as it adjusted from the garage temperature to being outside. Now, tomorrow’s weather forecast seems to hold some surprises of its own. Please note that if the District decides to close or dismiss early for the weather, then Trinity will do the same. If you want alerts, you can sign up for those services through WCCO.
This next week will be busy in the classroom. The third-graders will have a math test on Monday, on Wednesday will be the chapter 11 Social Studies test, the fourth-graders will have a math test on Thursday, and the usual spelling test will be on Friday. Additionally, we will do the final copy for the handwriting contest on Monday and write an essay for the Americanism Essay contest later in the week.
Next week will continue the winter round of NWEA MAP testing. We will be doing the reading test on Monday and the Social Studies test on Thursday. You can help your child prepare for this by ensuring they have a full night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast to start their day.
We are halfway through the month already. Please check with your child to see how they are doing on reaching their A.R. goals.
