As the second week of school comes to a close, it is starting to feel more and more like school. The students are falling into their routines. The teachers are fine-tuning all of the changes that were made this year. In general, the classrooms are buzzing with the sounds of learning.
Daily at-home Health Check
Please check your child’s temperature before leaving for school to verify they do not have a fever of 100.4 degrees or more. (Do not medicate your child and send them.)
Also, please perform a visual check on your child for the following conditions:
- Flushed Cheeks
- Rapid Breathing/Difficulty Breathing
- Fatigue
- Extreme Fussiness
- Runny Nose
- Excessive Cough
- Sneezing
- Rash
Please note that students will be admitted into school if these symptoms are connected to a pre-existing condition or diagnosis not related to COVID (e.g., norovirus, strep throat) and are deemed safe by a health care provider.
All students will have their temperature checked again when they arrive at Trinity.
Dropping Off
Please note that any students that are dropped off before 8 a.m. will need to go to Before School Care and will be billed at the end of the month. Also, if you are dropping off your child at 8:00 a.m. or later, please have your child use the main school entrance. Only the students in Before School Care should use the doors closest to the playground.
Hot Lunch
October’s Hot Lunch form will be coming home in the upcoming days. Please keep your eye out for it as it is due back Thursday, September 24. If you are choosing to order Hot Lunch for your child/ren, please fill out 1 form for each student. Also, please mark if you are paying with cash/check or if it should be charged to your TADS account. If you are playing with cash/check, you may make one payment for multiple students.
Also, please note that the main hot lunch program is moving to Fridays. Our head volunteer, Rebecca Nielsen, has had a change in her work schedule, and Fridays now work better for her. Additionally, Pizza day will be moving to a Thursday.
PTO Christmas Greens and Poinsettia Fundraiser is HERE!
The tradition of teaming up with Gertens is continuing! Order forms are coming home for purchasing Christmas Greens and Poinsettias. Make sure you check out the new 30’ Jack Frost Snowflake Wreath! All order forms are due back to Trinity by Friday, October 9,, 2020. More details can be found on the fundraiser’s cover letter.
Trinity Care
Please remember to sign your child/ren up for Trinity Care’s before and after school care program. All students need to be pre-registered at least 24 hours in advance to use Trinity Care. If your schedule is predictable, you can register your child/ren two weeks in advance by using the tabs at the bottom. Additional directions are given in the google spreadsheet.
Trinity care will be going outside in the mornings and afternoons, weather permitting. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather.
Social Media Policy
On Monday and Tuesday of this week, the youngest student in each family came home with a new Social Media Policy that the Board of School Elders (BOSE) passed at their September meeting. Please read the policy carefully, sign the attached sheet, and return just the second page to school as soon as possible.
