So far, it has been a great first week back to school! I can’t wait to keep this momentum rolling.
Next week will be more like a typical school week. There will be memory work due on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. On Friday, there will be an English test along with the usual spelling test. Otherwise, the students will be busy digging into the new units and chapters that we have already started.
On Monday, January 18, I plan to have the students create a diorama of space to help them visualize several of their science vocabulary words. They will need a box of some sort to do this. The ideal size of a box would be like a shoebox or similar sized Amazon type shipping box. It doesn’t need to be very deep, so even a cereal box will work.
The most recent Scholastic book orders went home earlier this week. These orders are due tomorrow! Please remember that if you choose to order, that you can either order online or send exact payment in either the form of cash or a check made out to “Susan Van Houten.”
If your family uses the Trinity Care program, there will be a change in billing procedures starting in February. Please read more about that change in this week’s all-school weekly newsletter.
