March 1-5

Today is the last day of the school week since there is no school tomorrow.  This week sure did FLY by fast.

Next week we will be busy in the classroom.  We will be working on a science lab during the first part of the week.  There will be an English test on Wednesday, a third-grade math test on Thursday, and the usual spelling test on Friday.  Additionally, the fourth-graders will be finishing up Charlotte’s Web, and we will be working on our classroom skit!

Don’t forget; hot lunch orders are due today!  Also, please make sure your child has their snow clothes for heading over to the Lutheran Home!

Yesterday we wrapped up the last lesson in our white ChristLight folder.  Please send those folders back to school as soon as possible.  New folders will be sent home on Monday.

On Monday, I will also be sending home the next set of book orders.  If you choose to order, you can do so online or send the orders back to school with an exact payment in the form of cash or with a check made out to “Susan Van Houten.”

Don’t forget to have your child bring their reading log and any other fundraiser materials back on Monday. Those who hit their goal for the last week of February will be entered in the drawing for a free book.

Lately, there have been more students needing to use my backup forks and spoons.  Please make sure to pack those items or send extras that can be kept in the locker as backups.
