This week has not exactly gone as planned with the NWEA MAP testing. When I went to verify that everything was working correctly for the testing on Monday morning, I discovered that the secured testing window was not coming up on the student’s devices. I am currently working to rectify the problem, and hopefully, soon, we will be up and running. Since we have run into this snag, this week’s homework schedule was moved around a bit, and it is likely to happen again next week. Keep an eye on your child’s planner for the most accurate information
Once again, we will be busy in the classroom in addition to the NWEA tests. The third-grade students will have a math test on Friday. The usual spelling test will be on Friday. We will also be starting the next chapter in English, which will work on prepositions, the object of prepositions, subject/verb agreement, and the differences between singular and plural nouns and common and proper nouns.
I know that many students had learned their address and phone number in previous grades. However, experience has taught me that when students don’t think about it often, they very quickly forget. Please keep quizzing your students on that important information that they may need someday if they are hurt or need help getting home.
