Well, November finished with a statement, and now, we are on to December. As we move forward, please note that assignments tend to be more fluid in December as the school works hard to prepare for the Children’s Christmas program. It is hard to predict precisely how much time we will need, so some decisions will be made on the fly. One of the things that might get bumped is the spelling pretest. If we don’t have a spelling pretest on Thursday, we will still plan to have the regular Friday test.
If you know that your family will not be able to attend the Children’s Christmas program on Sunday, December 18, please let me know as soon as possible so I can as accurately plan the seating arrangement for that service.
In the upcoming weeks, we will be working on a special art project. All of the students will need a soup can for this project. A standard 12 or 16-ounce can will work perfectly for the project. When you send the can to school, please ensure it is clean inside and out (no labels or glue) and have your child’s initials on the bottom of the can. If you would like to send an extra just in case someone doesn’t have one or needs to start over, that would be greatly appreciated.
This next week there will be a fourth-grade math test on Monday, and they will also have an English test on Tuesday. The fifth graders will have a math test on Thursday if all goes as planned.
There is a schedule change that affects all Trinity families. Please note that to make travel easier, it has been decided NOT to have school on Friday, December 23.
