On Sunday, the 3rd – 5th grade will be singing in church. We will be singing our song during communion from the balcony. Please have your child sit with your family for the first part of the service and then during the offering have them come up to the balcony. When they are done singing, I will send them back to their families.
Also, on Sunday, the third and fourth-grade will be hosting coffee hour. I will take care of providing the drinks. If each family can bring something to share that would be great. Also, if you are able, please stay and help serve and clean up. I always like to have the students help carry things for the folks that need assistance.
Next week we will be starting the first of our NWEA MAP testing sessions. We will be taking two tests next week, and two more tests the following week. Please help your child prepare for these tests by ensuring they are well-rested and eat a good, healthy breakfast each day.
This next week the third-grade students will be taking a math test on Friday along with the usual Spelling test.
Don’t forget, Scholastic Book Order forms are due this Friday. If you are interested in ordering books, you can order online using the class code or send the completed order form back to school with the exact payment. Payment can be in the form of cash or a check made out to “Susan Van Houten.”
