October 28 – November 1

This next week will be fairly normal with minimal tests.  The third-graders will have a math test on Monday, and the usual Spelling test will be on Friday.  Since Thursday is Halloween, I will try to keep homework to a minimum so that the students can enjoy the evening.  However, how much work your child comes home with will greatly depend on how they use their time during the day.

There is only one week left in October.  So far, one student has reached their AR goal, and four others have earned points.  Please keep encouraging your child to be reading at home to help them reach their goals.

Please note that the next Scholastic book orders will be due next Friday.  If you are choosing to order, you can order online or return your order to school with either exact payment or a check made out to “Susan Van Houten.”

Here are some important dates for your calendar.
