This next week we will busy in the classroom. In reading, we will be finishing up our novel about Pocahontas and then start to discuss literature circles and how we will use them with our next novel. In English, we will have a test on Tuesday. In math class, the third-graders will have a test on Wednesday. Also, in science, the chapter 11 test will be on Thursday! Please note that due to timing with Spring Break, we will NOT have a Social Studies test for chapter 5. Rather, we will start chapter 6 next week.
As we get this unseasonably warm weather, please remember that students may wear shorts or capris pants during May or any other time that the forecasted high for the day will be 70 degrees or above.
Please note that the Scholastic Book orders are due back on Friday, April 9. If you choose to order, please send the exact payment to the school either in cash or with a check made out to “Susan Van Houten.” Or, another option is to buy online using our class code.
