Okay, so we almost had a full week of school. Oh well, we will keep rolling with the changes.
NWEA testing starts next week. Remember, the best way you can prepare your child for this is no different than any other school day. Make sure they get a whole night’s rest, eat a nutritious breakfast, and encourage them to use all of their God-given abilities.
In addition to the testing, the fifth graders will have a math test on Monday and an English test on Thursday. The usual spelling test will be on Friday.
We are almost halfway through January already! How is your child doing on reaching their A.R. goal?
Last week, your child came home with a permission slip for our next field trip. So far, I have received 12 back. Please send this slip back to school as soon as possible so that we don’t have to scramble right before the field trip.
Did you see? The district will now have school on Monday, January 16 to help recoup lost learning time due to snow days. Trinity will also have school that Monday and bussing will be available.
For those of you that have located a recorder in your home, you can send them to school at your earliest convenience. I will have the students keep them in their lockers until we are ready to begin them in music class.
Please note that our classroom will sing in church on Sunday, January 29. I would love to see as many of our students singing his praises at that service as possible.
