This next week will be a short yet busy week in the classroom. The students will be taking the final 2 NWEA MAP testing sessions in reading and math. In addition to that, the fourth-graders will have a math test on Monday, and all students will have a science test on Wednesday.
This coming week the students will also start to prepare for their first Social Studies test. Science and Social Studies are similar in that the vocabulary will be very important for their success. Please make use of the vocabulary flashcards that were sent home to help them prepare. Also, another key for success is to use the review assignment as a study tool for the test. All the questions on the first half of the review will also be on the test in a slightly different form. Also, all the essay type questions on the review will be identical on the test.
Please note that with the shorter week, we will not have a new spelling unit, but rather will take the opportunity to work on our handwriting skills
