October 21-25

We already are at the end of the short week.  I pray that you and your family will enjoy these next few days and find some relaxation in the long weekend.

We are halfway through October.  So far, one student has reached their AR goal, and two others have taken AR tests.  Please keep encouraging your child to be reading at home to help them reach their goals.

Next week Wednesday, we will be heading over to Kingsway to do an activity with some of the residents there.  Weather permitting we will walk over after lunch and be back at school by 1:30.

There will be a few tests this upcoming week.  On Tuesday, the students will have an English test, and on Wednesday, the students will have their first Social Studies test.  Then, on Friday, the fourth-graders will have a math test.  Finally, the students will have their usual spelling test on Friday.

This next week the students will have a larger piece of memory work due on Thursday.  They will be saying the whole 1st Article. If your child worked hard on the two portions of the first article earlier in the year, then they will not need as much study time.  If your child was a little unsure of portions earlier, then they will need more time to prepare this assignment.

Here are some important dates for your calendar.
